Spotify recently launched Greenroom app, a social audio app, similar to Clubhouse and Twitter Spaces, that allows users to host live conversations about sports, music, and culture.
The news comes only three months after the streaming giant purchased Locker Room, a social audio app created by Betty Labs solely focused on sports content. From the looks of it, Spotify has built on this existing platform to add more topics up for discussion and revamped the UI to their striking green and white colors. In terms of functionality, the streaming giant has also added native recording, a feature that allows users to save their shows and distribute them as podcasts.
