Here’s How to Deposit Money into your Wave Mobile Money Account

Wave mobile money, which debuted in Uganda last year, has spawned a new cashless QR code scanning digital solution that is steadily capturing Ugandans’ attention. Wave customers can utilize their Wave mobile money account to deposit money, buy airtime, pay bills, send money, and withdraw money.

Customers will receive a distinct unique QR code for their account when they register. The QR code will appear on your home page if you opened the account using the app. You will receive a Wave QR card if you opened your account at a Wave agent’s location.

Unlike other mobile money systems that require you to give your mobile money number, Wave mobile money allows you to deposit money into your account by scanning the QR code on your app or on your QR card.

Method 1: Using the Wave App to Deposit Money on your Account

You must have the Wave app installed on your smartphone to use this approach. To find out how the money will be put into your Wave account, follow the instructions below.

Step 1: Go to a Wave Mobile Money Agent near you or call Wave toll-free at 0800303064. Bring the cash equivalent of the amount you wish deposited in your account.

Step 2:Request the Wave agent to deposit money into your account as you hand in the cash equivalent you want to be deposited.

Step 3: Open the Wave App on your phone or tablet and log in. Proceed to enter your 4-digit pin.

Step 4: The Wave agent will need to scan your QR code in order to conduct a deposit transaction. To allow scanning, hand the phone over to the representative and they will promptly transfer funds from their account to your Wave mobile money account.

Take your phone from the Wave agent and confirm the transaction by checking your balance before leaving the agent’s location.

Method 2: Using a QR Card to deposit Money into your Wave Mobile Money Account

If you have a Wave QR card, you must present it at the Agent’s location to allow scanning. Here’s how the funds will be sent to your account;

Step 1: Go to a Wave Mobile Money Agent near you or call Wave toll-free at 0800303064. Bring the cash equivalent of the amount you wish deposited in your account.

Step 2: Request the Wave agent to deposit money into your account as you hand in the cash equivalent you want to be deposited.

Step 3:The Wave agent will need to scan your QR code on your QR card in order to conduct a deposit transaction. As a result, hand over your QR card to the Wave Agent for scanning.

The agent will promptly transfer funds from their account to your Wave mobile money account.

With QR card transactions, consumers must confirm the transaction from the agent’s phone or request the agent to assist you in checking your balance or seeing the confirmation message delivered to your phone.
