How to get a loan on Airtel Money loan/Wewole loan
Firstly to qualify for the Airtel Money loan or Wewole, you have to be registered with Airtel Money with a minimum of active 6 months of transaction history with the service.

- Select Option 8 (Wewole)
- Now, choose option 1 (Get a loan) to apply for an instant loan
- You will be presented with your current loan limit
- Enter the amount of money you wish to borrow
- Then, enter your 4-digit Airtel account PIN
- At this stage, all things are done
- Once Airtel approves your loan amount, money will be deposited on your Airtel Account instantly.
How to Pay off your Wewole Loan and Interest fees
To pay off your Airtel Money loan/Wewole loan, all you need is to;
- Dial *185#
- Select Option 8 (Wewole)
- Select Option 2 (Pay loan)
- Then choose between paying the full pending amount, or enter an amount to deduct from your account
- Finally, enter your 4-digit Airtel Money PIN to approve your loan re-payment.

I think that wouldn’t be possible given that it’s a different number that actually got the loan, but you can call customer service for more.

I think this wewole is targeting people who transact lots of money. I have been using Airtel for over ten (10) years. I only got the offer that I qualify for wewole last year after I transacted over 3 million shillings in a couple of weeks. Raised my loan since to 196,000 always paid in time, never defaulted. After paying my last loan just after 2 weeks of taking it suddenly I do not qualify for a loan. What the he’ll is going on, I load monthly data, air time, chillax, transact airtel money every week and yet I got disqualified from the service. Customer care is not helpful and yet I had borrowed that money. What the hell.
